Pitchd Jobs ("Pitchd," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — in plain language.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to all users of the Pitchd Jobs mobile application and website (pitchdjobs.com), including job seekers and employers, regardless of location.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Name, email address, and password when you create an account
- Profile details you choose to provide (location, job title, industry, company name)
- Payment information processed securely through Apple in-app purchases and RevenueCat — we never store card numbers
Video content
- Video pitches you record and submit as a job seeker
- Video job listings you create as an employer
- Thumbnail images extracted from your videos
- Any optional written profile information you add (headline, skills, experience summary)
Video content is stored securely and only shown to users on the platform as you intend. We do not sell, license, or share your video content with third parties for advertising or training purposes.
Resumes and AI-generated resumes
- Resume files you upload (PDF, Word, or plain text)
- AI-generated resumes created by Pitchd on your behalf based on your profile, video pitch content, and work history
- Parsed resume data (job titles, employers, education, skills) extracted to populate your profile
Your resume data is used to build and improve your Pitchd profile and to generate AI-assisted resume documents. We do not share your resume content with employers without your explicit action (such as applying to a listing). AI-generated resumes are created using your own information and are yours to download and use.
AI video enhancement
- Transcripts or text descriptions generated from your video pitch using AI
- AI-suggested improvements to your pitch (tone, clarity, keyword suggestions)
- Enhanced metadata attached to your video profile to improve matching
AI enhancement is applied only with your consent when you use the enhance feature. The underlying video is not altered — only supplemental text data is generated and stored alongside it.
Subtitles and captions
- Automatic transcripts generated from your video pitch audio for the purpose of displaying closed captions
- Caption text stored alongside your video and displayed to viewers on the platform
- You may edit or delete your captions at any time from your profile settings
Transcripts generated for subtitles are used solely to display captions on your video. They are not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Video view and engagement data
- Whether an employer watched your video pitch and for how long
- Whether a job seeker replayed an employer's video listing
- Engagement signals used to surface relevant matches
This data is used to improve match quality and to show job seekers meaningful signal about employer interest. We do not expose raw view counts or watch times to the other party.
Subscription and billing data
- Your current subscription tier (free, trial, or paid) stored in our database and synced from RevenueCat
- Subscription status changes (upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, trial expirations)
- Purchase receipts validated through Apple's App Store
We do not store payment card details. All billing is handled by Apple in-app purchase and managed through RevenueCat.
Verification emails
- When you create an account or update your email, we send a verification email via Resend
- Employers may receive employment verification emails as part of the hiring flow
- Email delivery status (sent, opened, bounced) may be logged for troubleshooting
Swipe and interaction data
- Which profiles or listings you swiped on, and in which direction
- Mutual matches between job seekers and employers
- Messages exchanged after a match
- Time spent viewing video pitches or listings
Device and usage data
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- IP address and approximate location (city/region level)
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
- In-app feature usage for product improvement
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To show your video pitch or job listing to relevant users
- To facilitate matches and enable direct messaging
- To process subscription payments and manage access tiers
- To send transactional emails (match notifications, account updates)
- To improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data to serve third-party advertisements.
4. Video pitches and biometric data
On Pitchd, your video pitch replaces the traditional resume — it is your primary application document. Because video pitches may contain your likeness, voice, and facial expressions, we treat this content with heightened care:
- We do not perform facial recognition or extract biometric identifiers from your videos
- We do not use your video content to train AI or machine learning models without your explicit consent
- Video content is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Deleting your account permanently removes your videos from our servers within 30 days
5. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Supabase — database and file storage (video, images)
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase tracking
- Apple App Store — in-app purchases and account authentication
- Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
6. Data retention
- Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
- Deleted accounts: Personal data and videos are deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Swipe and match data: Retained for 90 days after account deletion for fraud prevention, then permanently deleted
- Legal holds: Some data may be retained longer if required by law
7. Your rights and choices
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — update or correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Deletion — delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time

8. Children's privacy
Pitchd Jobs is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at support@pitchdjobs.com and we will delete the account promptly.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to support@pitchdjobs.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and notify you via email or in-app notification for material changes. Continued use of Pitchd after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
